Compression or shear design ?
News release -- November, 2009 --

As most of you will already be aware, shear design accelerometers are better than compression design ones. All the U.S. manufacturers CTC (Connection Technology Center, New York, U.S.A.), Wilcoxon, (MD, U.S.A), PCB-IMI (Buffalo, U.S.A.) completely dropped production of compression accelerometers. Yet there are still manufacturers only producing the compression design ! Here at VibraSens, we manufacture both types, so you can compare like with like. Our annular shear design model 101.21 sells for just  € 64 ($ 92 // £ 57 // CAD 100). At prices like these, if you’re still buying compression accelerometers, it’s high time to move ahead into the 21st century…

Vibration market analysis : New Atex and IECEx certification.
Image News release, Besancon, France, -- June, 2009 --

Like most people, over the last couple of months we have been noticing a slow-down in our current market: pulp and paper, wind generators, ventilators, cooling towers, water turbines, and similar applications. To increase our market share and make up for the current slow–down, we have decided to explore new markets with Atex and IECEx certification for our most popular model 101, 103, 125 sensors. We are convinced that very many of you are going to appreciate this new certification.
